Alcohol Awareness in the workplace
Industry continues to have serious concerns regarding
employees drinking during the working day and
the effects this has on them whilst at work.
Increasingly employers in all sectors, not just
those in traditional industries (light/heavy
industrial and driving), are insisting on staff
being monitored for alcohol misuse. The morning
after effect is one of the current leading areas
of concern.
Our
course is designed to improve the knowledge
of staff on aspects of alcohol use and misuse.
Many of the common misconceptions surrounding
the drug we know as alcohol will be dispelled.
Information is provided on safe drinking limits,
the ‘unit’
measuring system, the effects of alcohol on health
and how alcohol affects the normal functioning
of the body. The easy to understand methods
used to run the courses can highlight potential
problems before they occur and steer towards
a more productive workforce.

Alcohol Awareness for Drivers
This course is specifically designed with the driver
in mind and explores the consequences of mixing
alcohol and driving. The law relating to potential
drink drive offences is fully explained and
common misunderstandings dispelled. We include
topics on the unit system, elimination, the
effect of alcohol in relation to males, females,
build, medication and state of mind. Driving
skills in conjunction with alcohol consumption
are investigated through interactive exercises
and group sessions. This helps to increase personal
knowledge and alter attitudes.
